This is Phillip and Jennifer Madden - owners of Paradise Hollow. This is the farm we visited. Check out their website at
http://www.maddenstables.com/. Phillip is an extraordinary horse trainer and riding instructor. He guided Tristan and Caleb through how to lead a horse, how to mount a horse and taught me how to ride correctly! I actually rode Grey, a beautiful horse! Tristan and Caleb sat on their Shetland (with some reservations), but Phillip was so assured and convincing that Tristan mounted first and Caleb followed. Then Phillip showed Tristan how to lead the horse out of the stable. It was truley amazing to watch! As most of you know, Tristan is a little skittish of new things, but Phillip was very confident and reassured him in such a calm way!
Tristan is not really afraid, just exasperated with grandma for wanting him to look at the camera!
Calen and Tristan kept telling each other to go first. Tristan gave in and has been so excited about being brave!
Tristan led the horse away with the direction and help of Phillip.
This is a one month old that looks just like his daddy!
There are lots of dogs on the property that the Maddens breed. What a life!
This is the mommy of the baby colt.
